About The School
Our School
Flaherty Primary School is a fairly new addition to the Flaherty Community. The school opened in August of 2010. Our mission for FPS is to assist students in developing the skills necessary to become life-long learners. We strive for all students to reach a high level of academic performance as they prepare to become productive members of society. Our school services kindergarten through third grade. Teachers continuously take pride in addressing the needs of each individual child as they implement Kentucky's standards and use frequent assessment data to make the changes necessary for all kids to achieve success. During their school career at FPS, students also have the opportunity to participate outside the classroom in extra-curricular activities. FPS will continue to uphold the strong tradition of collaboration with the community and parents of our area.
